The Head of Marketing will shape the UnifiHealth narrative for the market and all stakeholders. As the first marketing hire, you will play a strategic leadership role in the marketing department and the company. You will engage members, channel partners, and clinicians through an omni-channel program. The healthcare landscape is noisy with many companies telling similar stories. You must roll up your sleeves and build our key messaging from the ground up with a willingness to take risks and be different. Importantly, you will be responsible for developing a high-performing team, working closely with Product, Sales, Member Success, and Operations teams to have high impact throughout the customer journey.

While not a requirement, we do have a preference that the person in this specific role be located in Boston or NYC.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with the founding team across Product and Sales for a successful launch in our target market and growth to additional markets
  • Lead product marketing messaging and content creation, crafting collateral to drive brand awareness with different stakeholders
  • Create a diverse range of collateral (pitch decks, data sheets, demos, etc.) to support UnifiHealth partners like benefit advisors to effectively position and deliver the UnifiHealth product to small business clients
  • Create and implement marketing campaigns and events to drive growth through the benefit advisor channel and to generate brand awareness among small businesses
  • Travel alongside sales and customer success teams periodically to gain a deeper understanding of the business and the UnifiHealth customer base.  
  • Develop and execute on a thought leadership strategy, elevating UnifiHealth as a go-to source of information in the industry for small business health plans 
  • Translate technical updates to the product into a clear narrative about the features, functions and benefits across each customer segment and key personas
  • Synthesize customer and partner insights serving as a voice of the customer in the product road mapping process 
  • Manage Unifi’s social media presence and help create content consistent with the brand

As the Head of Marketing, you should have:

  • 7+ years of marketing experience across different functional areas
  • Experience building and scaling a marketing team and tech stack, including management of external agency resources
  • Worked with complex products that are sold through third party sales channels (re-sellers, brokers, etc.) 
  • Strong project management skills and ability to plan and execute work streams without large teams behind you
  • Developed quantitative and analytical skills to understand and optimize marketing and campaign performance (KPI setting, reporting, management). 
  • Experience in managing website, SEM, SEO, and organic channels
  • Strong storytelling capabilities with experience testing and tailoring messaging across different stakeholders in the value chain
  • Nimble, agile, self-starter, with a growth mindset 
  • Have a passion for improving healthcare delivery
