Job Description

ClearDATA is looking to hire a world-class Vice President-Product Engineering. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this role will provide the strategy, direction, and leadership required to conceptualize new products and services offerings for Healthcare in the area of Security, Compliance, and Privacy. What You’ll Do:

  • Identify market challenges within Healthcare (Payer, Provider, Pharma, and Product) and translate them into product and services offerings
  • Work along with Chief Product Officer and Head of Product Management in managing the product roadmap, prioritizing product development work, timelines, and deliverables for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure execution against the product roadmaps for on-time delivery
  • Empathy to understand customer pain points and vision to articulate solutions to those problems.
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations and demonstrations, as needed, to support knowledge sharing, learning, pre-sales, and customer requirements.
  • Select, train, mentor, and motivate the technical engineering staff
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance for engineering team and projects
  • Provide direction and motivation to the Engineering staff to assure the successful execution of the engineering responsibilities
  • Provide performance management and developmental opportunities to existing staff as well as recruit new talent in order to meet technical gaps
  • Develop and implement improved procedures and standards for the department, to ensure that output is high quality, accurate, on time, and within budget, including establishing metrics (key performance indicators) for Engineering and accountabilities for achieving results

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computers science or related engineering discipline
  • Experience in requirements management and documentation and technical project management is essential
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Strong business acumen that demonstrates an understanding of business issues and linking solutions to the business strategy and outcomes
  • Hands-on problem solving and superior oral and written communication skills are required.
  • 10+ years experience as a leader of the software development team
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team of direct reports. Mentoring and servant leadership experience.
  • Deep understanding of public clouds, AWS, Azure, and GCP. Prior technical experience is a plus.
  • Experience working alongside Product Management, Sales, Services, and Marketing teams.
  • previous startup experiences a major plus.
  • Have a “can-do” attitude and enjoy juggling and prioritizing a myriad of responsibilities.
  • Ability to take high-level strategies and break them down into a prioritized roadmap for the team.
  • Strong issue diagnosis, root cause analysis, and resolution capabilities.
  • Strong drive to create new products and services that meet customer needs

 

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Experience working in enterprise security, devsecops product company would be a major plus
  • Advanced Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience developing security-related tools and applications for healthcare
  • Experience working in a start-up environment.
  • Healthcare startup and/or SaaS experience.
  • AWS or Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform Certifications.
