Job Description

The Close Process Manager will handle all areas of accounting and participate in certain overlapping financial activities of the company. As head of the close process, the Close Process Manager will coordinate with all aspects of accounting from accounts receivable, payable and payroll in timely closing of books and responsible for maintaining necessary accruals. This position will assist with development of internal control policies, procedures, and financial planning for accurate financial reporting, as needed.


Manage all aspects of accounting, billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax compliance, inventory accounting, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analyses.

  • Maintain documented system of accounting policies and operations.
  • Oversee all audit activities
  • Oversee vendor payments ensuring vendors are paid within terms.
  • Oversee customer billing and patient billing and collection processes.
  • Oversee all payments made for debts, bank loans, and other large quantities of money.
  • Monitor cash and funding balances.
  • Keep an organized filing system of all accounts, statements, transactions, payments, and debts
  • Prepare and organize financial statements for record and review.
  • Prepare quarterly/annual financial reports for management and investors.
  • Provide information to Controller to assist in monthly/quarterly/annual budget and forecast management.
  • Provide and manage information and statements for external auditors and tax reporting.
  • Complying with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting
  • Ensuring company complies with all additional legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Additional duties as needed.



  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and technical accounting procedures.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Detail oriented and strong analytical skills required to accurately process data.
  • Ability to meet communicated and expected deadlines.
  • Use of Microsoft Excel to analyze data.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Innovative thought process to create new and improved processes.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Seven years of hands-on accounting managerial experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • CPA certification or MBA is preferred.
  • Public accounting experience.

Minimal travel may be required occasionally, mostly local such as to outpatient clinics and partner hospitals.
