Position Summary

Due to the strong growth potential of our Connect business we are seeking a Senior Director of Connect Channel Sales & Strategy to join the Connect team. Reporting to the Vice President, Connect Ecosystem, the Channel Sales Executive is accountable for driving the achievement of Connect sales and revenue  goals of the Connect Ecosystem through his/her own direct sales efforts and by also supporting the Welltok Sales team.  We are seeking a highly motivated individual that will be expected to quickly learn the Welltok & Connect product offerings and strategies, while leveraging previous sales experience to drive forward customer development and generate new revenue.  This position also requires proactively leveraging and building relationships with all 50+ of our Connect Ecosystem Partners, allowing the Channel Sales Executive to sell Welltok product offerings to our Ecosystem Partners but to also generate sales leads/referrals coming from our Partners’ book of business/sales pipelines.  Channel Sales will work with Legal, Marketing, Market Solutions, Finance, and Sales, effectively managing a broad group of internal stakeholders.  The Channel Sales Executive will also be responsible for leading Connect sales support to the Welltok Sales teams, enabling them to successfully understand the nuances of our Connect portfolio of Partners to help generate Connect sales volume.

Ultimately, the Channel Sales Executive will be responsible for maintaining strong working relationships with Partners to ensure smooth Partner services and an exceptional Partner experience, which is required to grow Connect sales, Partner sales leads & referrals.  The Channel Sales Executive will meet with assigned Partners on a regular basis, establish a Connect Sales pipeline strategy and a sales forecast.  For this job opportunity, there are three primary but important goals: 

  1. Grow Connect Partner sales volume by selling Partner programs and the Connect Ecosystem Solution to Employers, Health Plans and Medical Systems;
  2. Grow overall Welltok sales by selling Welltok products to the 50+ Connect Partners that make up our  Ecosystem; and 
  3. Growing a pipeline of Partner referrals, leveraging our partner relationships through a channel strategy, and creating new business sales leads.  

Our Partners touch an estimated 100 million lives, so there are untapped sales opportunities available. 

You will be responsible for building out, executing, and managing the following functions:

  • Sales Process:
    • Accountable for achievement of $6M annual Connect Sales quota.  Achievement of Connect quota is shared with the Welltok Sales team 
    • Establish clear value propositions for Partners and the ecosystem and coordinate with Partners to identify new business opportunities for revenue generation
    • Educate Partners on Welltok’s product and service offerings and keep them up to date on new products and features to drive sales through Partner referrals
    • Provide Partner marketing support to ensure we have compelling materials for our internal sales teams and Partners to drive customer demand
    • Partner Program Catalogue maintenance
  • Connect Sales Support & Business Development:
    • Work with Finance and Sales to help forecast expected Sales for new Partners
    • Build effective collaboration and serve as an internal liaison among partners, Welltok Sales and Account Management
    • Participate directly in sales discussions to represent the ecosystem partners, as      appropriate
    • Provide Welltok Sales Organization Connect Partner pricing/quotes for new    business Connect sales opportunities

Additional Key Responsibilities

  • Experienced sales executive that has been accountable for over $4M in annual individual quota achievement 
  • Direct selling responsibility for large complex deals 
  • Ability to understanding the business challenges our Partners and Customers are facing and align these challenges to the capabilities of our Welltok products &  services and Connect Partner Programs
  • Financial modeling and ability to present overviews of sales pursuits and revenue forecasting to executive leadership


  • 10+ years of related experience  
  • Strong network of Partner relationships required.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, wellness programs or health insurance background required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel 20-30+% 
  • Proven track record in achieving and exceeding individual annual quota 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to provide direction on both strategy and tactics in pursuit of complex sales to pursuit team members 
  • Proven experience managing a complex sales cycle and selling to multiple levels within mid-sized and large enterprise organizations.  
  • Proven relationship management skills and have experience with extensive account follow-up with prospects in large cross-matrixed environments. 
  • Demonstrated sales track record in highly competitive environments with the ability to qualify opportunities, obtain customer commitments, and negotiate and close contracts. 
  • Confidence to act authoritatively and hold the line internally and externally.

This role may require access to systems containing Regulated or Confidential data and is thereby subject to additional security and privacy controls.

The estimated compensation for this position includes an annual salary between $120,000 to $130,000 with a commission plan.
