About the role:

The Senior Insights Associate will be a critical member of our team at Rock Health Advisory. This role is central to producing the market research, data-backed insights, and perspectives that power Rock Health’s thought leadership and Insights Membership for enterprise healthcare leaders, including health systems, payers, life sciences companies, and other large healthcare organizations.

In this role, you will conduct research on digital health trends, healthcare innovation, and market dynamics, translating complex signals into clear, decision-relevant insights for enterprise leaders. Your work will inform a range of recurring and flagship outputs, including Rock Health’s quarterly funding reports and topical blog posts. You’ll also contribute to client-facing market updates and segment briefings, shaping how enterprise leaders interpret market shifts and emerging dynamics.

This is a research- and insights-focused role with external visibility, including opportunities to support webinars, briefings, and other client-facing or public-facing forums. It is designed for individuals interested in building depth in healthcare innovation research and contributing to a trusted, industry-defining insights platform over time.

About You:

You are intellectually curious and motivated to understand what is happening beneath the surface of fast-moving markets. You have experience with quantitative and qualitative research and enjoy synthesizing complex inputs into clear, defensible insights, whether through drafting written insights or developing presentation materials. You value analytical rigor, attention to detail, and are motivated to continuously improve the quality of your work.

Responsibilities:

As Senior Insights Associate, you will be a key contributor to the development and delivery of high-impact research and insights across Rock Health Advisory. You’ll conduct original and secondary research, and translate findings into clear, strategic deliverables for both public audiences and enterprise members.

Market Research

  • Conduct secondary research on digital health, healthcare innovation, policy, and market dynamics to inform Rock Health perspectives, with a focus on implications and opportunities for enterprise healthcare leaders
  • Execute primary research efforts, including expert interviews and survey-based research, with oversight from the Senior Research Manager
  • Track news, deals, partnerships, and emerging signals across the healthcare ecosystem; proactively surface themes, insights, and implications
  • Aggregate research findings across workstreams, organizing inputs in a structured way that supports efficient synthesis and downstream insight development
  • Leverage AI tools to continuously improve the speed and quality of market research
  • Coordinate across stakeholders to keep insights projects on track and aligned with team priorities

Rock Health Advisory Insights

  • Contribute to development of client-facing deliverables including decks and written content on market updates, market maps, innovation showcases, and other related material
  • Support Rock Health’s external thought leadership efforts, including quarterly funding reports and ad-hoc research publications
  • Draft content for presentation-based and long-form written outputs (e.g., slides, reports, blog posts, Rock Weekly newsletter), with guidance and refinement from Advisory leadership
  • Assist with preparation for webinars, briefings, and other external-facing forums, including framing materials and follow-up insights

Data Analysis and Insights

  • Conduct analysis using Rock Health’s proprietary datasets (e.g., venture funding, M&A, partnerships, Consumer Adoption) in service of research and insights outputs
  • Translate data into clear visuals, summaries, and implications that support reports and presentations
  • Support data quality by flagging gaps, inconsistencies, or emerging data needs to the Senior Research Manager
  • Use tools such as Excel, Airtable, ChatGPT, and other AI tools to support analysis and insight generation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree (e.g., MPH, MBA, MS) or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 2-3+ years of experience in healthcare-related or research-related field (e.g., market research, insights & analytics, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research
  • Strong writing and editorial skills with experience developing both long-form reports and visual presentations
  • Experience using AI/ML tools to support research workflows, synthesis, or content development, and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies as they become relevant
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a high standard for quality and accuracy
  • Genuine interest in healthcare, digital health, and healthcare innovation
  • Comfort working with datasets and translating analysis into insights
  • Experience contributing to thought leadership, research publications, or externally facing content preferred

Compensation:

The range for base compensation for the Senior Insights Associate Role is $115,000 – $120,000. The Senior Insights Associate will be eligible for bonuses based on individual and company performance.
