As a fully remote Clinician Capacity Manager (or Senior Manager) is responsible for optimizing clinician capacity and ensuring that staffing resources align with patient demand across the organization. This role focuses on analyzing, forecasting, and managing clinical staff schedules, patient intake workflows, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and improve patient access to care. The ideal candidate has a strategic understanding of healthcare operations, clinician needs, and patient flow, with an emphasis on scalability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Develop and manage capacity planning models to forecast patient demand and clinician availability, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Monitor patient scheduling patterns and clinician workload to recommend adjustments that balance capacity and demand.
- Lead efforts to manage patient access and reduce wait times by aligning appointment schedules with forecasted needs.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data on clinician utilization, patient flow, and capacity metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Create regular reports and dashboards to inform leadership of capacity metrics, clinician productivity, and scheduling efficiency.
- Use predictive analytics to anticipate future capacity challenges and proactively implement solutions.
- Work closely with medical director and other clinical or operations leaders to ensure clinician schedules align with clinical goals, patient care standards, and clinician well-being.
- Partner with clinical leaders, human resources and recruitment to manage staffing levels based on capacity demands and long-term strategic goals.
- Coordinate with clinicians on workload management, including facilitating adjustments during peak periods or staff shortages.
- Act as a liaison between clinical teams, operations, and leadership to drive capacity initiatives that support the organization’s growth and patient care goals.
- Contribute to the development of strategic goals related to patient access, clinician productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Collect and maintain clinician licensure files to support cross state telehealth planning
- Collaborate with clinician enrollment and credentialing teams to ensure clinicians requiring enrollment and/or credentialing with health systems or payers have met requirements and are provisioned to see patients
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in healthcare operations, capacity management, or workforce planning, preferably within a clinical or healthcare setting.
- Proficient in healthcare scheduling software, data analytics platforms, and Microsoft Excel; experience with predictive modeling and capacity planning tools is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to a non-technical audience.
- Demonstrated experience managing or leading capacity planning initiatives and cross-functional projects.

- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a big plus.
- You are excited to work with a collaborative team of physicians, APC’s, registered dietitians, medical assistants, health coaches, pharmacists, and other staff.
- Must have access to high-speed internet and phone lines to support a fully remote practice.
