As a Lead Analytics Consultant, RWD Insights (Commercial Pharma), you will play a critical role in supporting HealthVerity’s pre and post sale efforts. You will leverage your technical expertise and commercial analytics knowledge to generate feasibility counts, assess data availability, and provide actionable insights that guide sales teams and prospective clients in evaluating HealthVerity’s data assets. Additionally, you will be a trusted resource by demonstrating strong technical ability, deep knowledge of commercial pharma use cases, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, business-relevant outputs that enable clients to achieve their commercial objectives.

This role emphasizes hands-on SQL/Python coding to answer feasibility questions, prepare tailored data extracts, and ensure commercial teams are equipped with the right information during the sales cycle. You will also provide guidance to clients and partners on best practices for querying HealthVerity’s data, helping them understand how the data can be applied to their commercial business objectives.

What you will do

  • Execute feasibility analyses and patient/provider counts to support pre-sales conversations with commercial clients.
  • Partner with commercial teams to translate client questions into data queries and provide timely, accurate responses.
  • Write efficient and optimized SQL/Python code to query large healthcare datasets for feasibility counts, cohort identification, and commercial use case support.
  • Prepare pre-sales deliverables (summary tables, feasibility decks, data samples) that communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Validate and stress-test feasibility results to ensure accuracy and reliability before client delivery.
  • Support client-facing discussions by explaining methodology, assumptions, and data coverage in a clear and compelling way.
  • Educate clients and third-party contractors on best practices for querying HealthVerity data, ensuring alignment with commercial business needs.
  • Support post-sale investigations by querying HealthVerity data to validate client findings, troubleshoot discrepancies, and provide guidance on appropriate methodologies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, solutions, and data delivery teams to support opportunity development and ensure smooth handoffs into post-sale execution.
  • Contribute to building a library of standard feasibility queries and code templates that can be reused across opportunities to drive efficiency.

How success will be defined

  • Consistently delivers accurate and timely feasibility counts that enable commercial teams to respond quickly and confidently during pre-sales engagements.
  • Builds trust with sales leadership and prospective clients by providing clear, well-documented methodologies and transparent assumptions.
  • Serves as a reliable partner to commercial teams by translating complex client requests into data-driven feasibility outputs.
  • Enhances efficiency by contributing to a growing library of standard feasibility queries, templates, and best practices.
  • Provides strong post-sale support by validating data outputs, troubleshooting issues, and advising on analytic approaches when questions arise.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring results are understood and actionable.

Required skills and experience

  • Strong understanding of commercial pharma analytics (e.g., market share analyses, deciling, forecasting, physician targeting, source of business, salesforce effectiveness).
  • 3+ years’ experience coding with SQL (Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, or equivalent) and analyzing large relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with transactional healthcare data (open and/or closed claims, pharmacy and medical) and standard coding systems (ICD, CPT, HCPCS, NDC, NUCC, NPPES, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business questions into analytic queries and deliver interpretable outputs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound judgment calls in handling ambiguous requests.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to summarize technical results for commercial stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience.

Desired skills and experience

  • Experience with open and closed claims data and familiarity with common commercial pharma Key Performance Indicators (TRx, NRx, persistency, adherence, market share).
  • Exposure to a wide range of healthcare data types beyond claims, such as lab, EMR, chargemaster, and consumer/SDOH data.
  • Experience creating visualizations and dashboards (Tableau, PowerBI, or similar).
  • Intermediate proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation and analytics.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Committed to continuous learning and professional growth.
