How you will help

As a Manager, Solutions Engineering (Pre-Sales), you will serve as a client-facing player-coach leader to manage and grow our Technical Solutions team. This team designs and delivers technical architectures that support identity resolution, data integration, and advanced use cases in RWD such as clinical trial enablement, real-world evidence (RWE) generation, patient mastering, and longitudinal patient journey analytics.

You will blend hands-on technical solutioning expertise with people leadership. You will be responsible for delivering scalable, privacy-compliant technical and data solutions, mentoring and managing a small team, and collaborating cross-functionally to support client growth. You will help scale HealthVerity’s solutioning capabilities as we expand our SaaS products and support increasingly sophisticated RWD use cases across our client base.

What you will do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of technical solution architects, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration
  • Act as a hands-on solutions lead for complex presale engagements—working directly with clients to understand needs, shape solutions, and ensure technical feasibility and compliance
  • Design and document scalable solutions for identity matching and resolution to enable clients’ new and existing RWD use cases
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, RWD subject matter experts, Product, Engineering, and Privacy teams to develop and maintain solution patterns, architectural diagrams, and implementation guides
  • Support and improve internal processes to streamline how solutions are designed, documented, and handed off for implementation
  • Maintain awareness of RWD/RWE and life sciences industry trends, client challenges, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, de-identification standards, clinical trial guidelines) to ensure HealthVerity remains at the forefront of privacy-protected RWD delivery
  • Help define and track team metrics to assess quality, scalability, and impact of technical solutions
  • Roll up your sleeves to build and explain complex technical solutions to technical and nontechnical stakeholders

How success will be defined

  • Creatively and strategically position HealthVerity to win against the competition by building trust and credibility as a subject matter expert (SME)
  • Take end-to-end ownership of technical solutioning projects and drive to completion
  • Ensure clients are satisfied with the solutions you design and their stated objectives are achieved

Required skills and experience

  • 5+ years of experience designing technical/data solutions, including hands-on architecture, client-facing engagement, and documentation
  • 2+ years of people management or player-coach experience with small technical teams
  • Strong working knowledge of healthcare data (claims, EHR, registries, etc.), real-world evidence, and data privacy/compliance frameworks
  • Understanding of identity resolution/mastering, tokenization, and data linkage in a HIPAA-compliant context
  • Experience working directly with pharmaceutical, life sciences, or government clients on data-centric projects
  • Familiarity with modern data tech stacks (e.g., cloud platforms, APIs, data lakes) and comfort interacting with engineering, data, and product teams
  • Demonstrated success improving team operations, scaling processes, or building solution design playbooks
  • Exceptional communication, crossfunctional collaboration, and stakeholder management skills

Desired skills and experience

  • Exposure to a wide range of healthcare industry business segments (pharma, biotech, government, consulting, healthcare payer/provider)
  • Trusted coach and mentor, experienced at fostering growth in others and setting clear expectations and priorities
  • Skilled at educating, presenting, and demonstrating analytical concepts to internal and external audiences
  • Strong communicator (both verbally and in writing) with the ability to translate client needs into actionable data insights
  • Experience supporting business development activities
  • Experience owning and managing projects with the ability to identify and mitigate risk to intended outcomes
  • Team player who takes initiative and works collaboratively with colleagues across all levels of the organization
  • Systems thinker who’s process-oriented, scalable-minded, and eager to improve how work gets done
  • Highly organized, consultative, curious, and proactive critical thinker/problem solver
  • Committed to personal and professional continuous development
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Thrives working in a fast-paced, high-growth, client-facing environment with competing demands
  • Prior work in a SaaS or healthtech scale-stage or startup environment
  • Experience querying large relational databases in SQL

Base salary for the role is commensurate with experience and can range between $120,000 - 155,000 + annual bonus opportunity.
