The Role
As a Medical Assistant (MA) Supervisor at Greater Good Health, you will manage and be responsible for the daily operations and team at one of GGH’s partner wellness center. You will lead the MA team, provide delivery of patient care and ensure coordination of care is completed by the care team. In addition to delivering patient care, you will be responsible for day to day oversight of clinic operations.

Responsibilities:
Clinic Operations
  • Ensure clinic operations are running smoothly and safely daily overseeing staff, working facilities & equipment, and ensuring policies & procedures are followed
  • Respond to escalations and partner with Director of Operations to manage them
  • Prepare and lead clinic team meetings and huddles
  • Round through clinic regularly, i.e. "time on the floor"
  • Ensure clinic schedules are optimized and efficient
  • Support technology tools and programs performance including EMR (Athena)
  • Lean in and "roll sleeves up" to support clinic as necessary
Patient Care
  • Perform patient care assessments and clinical-related tasks to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services
  • Support the Clinician, medical assistants, and nursing staff in the delivery of healthcare services
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and satisfaction
  • Support care coordination activities such as referral management and community resource navigation
  • Provide quality gap closure interventions such as retina exams, bone density scans, hemoglobin A1c testing, lab draws, blood pressure monitoring
People & Culture
  • Ensure clinic team is engaged and thriving; build a culture of engagement and demonstrate the GGH core values
  • Collaborate with other lane leads to support onboarding and training for new and current team members
  • Welcome all and care empathetically for patients and team members
  • Build and maintain high patient and team member satisfaction & NPS
  • Develop programs and procedures to support team member experience and engagement
  • Perform annual team member reviews and provide feedback to help them meet professional goals
Facility Management
  • Oversee materials management, supply chain process and inventory management
  • Accountable for facilities & equipment
  • Adhere to facilities policies including infection control, equipment maintenance, medication and supplies management and licensure
  • Serve as clinic-level technology “lead” and ensure hardware and software are in working order
  • Handle any facilities-related issues in partnership with facilities vendors
  • Administrative functions of the clinic such as opening and closing clinic, procurement, ordering supplies
Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree or three years equivalent experience (Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a healthcare related field or equivalent experience /combined education (Preferred)
  • Valid Oregon Driver’s License (Required)
  • Health care experience, particularly at care delivery and provider organizations 3+ years (Required)
  • Supervisory or acting in a leadership role within the last 3 years (Required)
  • Payer/plan experience, especially in value-based arrangements (Preferred)
  • Clinic Operations experience and track record of success leading teams and meeting key performance metrics (Preferred)

Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year
