Opportunity Overview:
As the manager of the Clinical Configuration Management team you will be responsible for coordinating the day to day activities of the team responsible for clinical configuration management. This work spans the full lifecycle of all clinical configurations (e.g., Prior Authorization Logic, Exclusion Rules, Letter Templates, etc.) required by our customers as part of the implementation and subsequent operation of Cohere solutions.
In this role you will oversee that any clinical configuration change made to meet a customer request is implemented consistently with our solution functionality and performance as well as its features and design.

What you will do:
- Understand client configuration needs and translate into project plans and roadmaps
- Establish priorities and work assignments, and track compliance to procedures and policies
- Conduct periodic audits according to a defined audit sequence, and oversee their implementation
- Define the scope and level of detail for the documents, baselines, and clinical configuration items (CIs) for any project the team is responsible for
- Oversee clinical configuration change management across all customers
- Provide an accurate information base about Cohere Health products and their configuration information throughout their life cycle
- Serve as subject matter expert in all matters related to clinical configuration aspects of the Cohere Health platform to both internal and external customers and members of the team
- Lead efforts to implement and maintain clinical configuration items in Cohere Health configuration management database (CMDB), helping with defining its scope and objectives. You will lead the identification of what clinical attributes and relationships to capture, what level of accuracy and detail to maintain, what outcomes and benefits to expect from the CMDB, and what CIs to include
- Communicate with clients about clinical configuration in a professional manner
- Serve as direct manager for and mentor members of the team, actively contributing to their professional growth and success
- Facilitate a shared understanding across teams and departments about how clinical functionality in the product can be configured
- Closely work with Cohere Health product and development teams to ensure that new features and functionality clinical in nature that require to be configured on behalf a client are designed and built with with that in mind
- Work with clinical configuration team to scope, develop and implement configuration management tools that will make it easier, more efficient and reliable the process of creating and maintaining clinical configuration
- Work with third-party vendors and partners to ensure any tools or services used to support the lifecycle of clinical configuration management are properly implemented and supported
Your background & requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, health information technology, or related field
- 3-5+ years of experience managing teams responsible for configuring and maintaining clinical systems
- Prior clinical experience will be a plus
- Experience with prior authorization, utilization management, claim management desired
- Experience with project management
- Experience creating and managing complex databases
- Experience with data exchange/transformation and/or integration/interoperability analysis and implementation
- Experience creating and maintaining reports using BI and other analytics tools
- Knowledge of version control systems
- Knowledge of configuration management tools
- Analytical thinking
- Work effectively with team members, employees and customers
- Self-starter, able to work independently, able to succeed in a fast-paced, high intensity start-up environment

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 annually; as part of a total benefits package which includes health insurance, 401k and bonus. In accordance with state applicable laws, Cohere is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and internal alignment.
